He won 1st place last night after an exciting battle in the first ever Cyprus Poker Network online league game.
39 players joined Kim and myself (appleinsider and CypusPete) for the inaugural CPN game and early on it was clear the standard of play was going to be very high.

Possible because of the $10 bounties on myself and Kim, the going was tough to say the least. A lack of decent cards and some bad bluffs meant I was out fairly early in 16th place.

Meanwhile, on one the other tables ‘appleinsider’ was fairing much better and for a while was chip leader. (Incidentally Kim was at the same time playing (and winning) in the Poker Show Live final table and playing for a $3000 sponsorship prize) he finished that in 4th.

However not even a poker player of Kim’s experience could win our tournament and he was knocked out in 5th (A10 v AK). As we progressed into the money the action was tense and after a closely fought battle between fifa59202 and mrfcc1, mrfcc1 was victorious finishing the tournament in style with a pair of Aces.

Well done to jorgemon and sebouch002, the two players share the bounty on my head, while 2nd place player fifa59202 took appleinside out of the tournament to win the other bounty.

Many thanks to the players who played and contributed to the friendly atmosphere, our next league game is in 2 weeks time.
