9 September 2009 No Comment

chris_ferguson_wpt_cyprusAfter an amazing day of play at the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic all 4 of the leaders from day 1 were knocked out to leave 55 survivors heading into day 3 (today).

Soon out to the hand(s) of Rony Jazzar (whose pair of fives found another on the flop) was Jan Skampa, second overall when play commenced. Jazzar is now second going into day 3.

Doing well to show anything can happen at these tournaments, other casualties quickly followed day 1(a) leader John Tabatabai, then Phil Gordon vacated the field.
Players also failing to make day 3 include Howard Lederer and Patrik Antonius.

Leading the field on day 3 of the 2009 WPT Merit Classic 277,000 chips is Nenad Medic, with Tommy Vedes, Antony Lellouche, Huck Seed and Jonathan Little all finishing the day strongly. Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson, (pictured) still in with a shout at WPT Cyprus.

Lets hope it’s not too long before he is back at the tables!
